About

Karla Kettler, E-RYT200, RYT500, YACEP

Karla lives at home with her teenage daughter, her husband, and her 3 cats. She loves to go for long walks, read, and crochet (when a cat is not on her lap).

Karla was a massage therapist for a decade, and taught anatomy and massage practices at the Baltimore School of Massage. She started practicing yoga when she went away to college, at age 17. She took her first yoga teacher training in 2013 at the Yoga Center of Columbia in Columbia, Maryland. Her knowledge of anatomy and yoga help to inform her gentle and adaptive teaching style.

During the pandemic, Karla discovered Hypnotherapy. She graduated from the Grace Method hypnotherapy training school in June 2021.

In May 2024, Karla completed another teacher training in QiGong. She is a certified Holden QiGong teacher. QiGong is an ancient Chinese practice that combines energy work, stretching, breathing, and flowing movements. It is older than all the martial arts, and is the practice that all martial arts (Tai Chi being the most closely associated) are based upon.
